Description
The inner insert has the color of plastic from the company 3M, on the basis of which the available pickguards are made. They can be found on ebay from Chinese sellers. The name of the colors is White, White Pearl, Grey Perl.
If you put this set in a pickguard of the same color, then the cover will perform the function of a frame. It turns out a good design option for your Stratocaster.
Note that the color of the pickguard turns yellow with time. If your pickguard is about a year or more, the color will be noticeably warmer. I recommend using fresh pickguard.
Sound
The sound of the 50s in an alternative appearance.
Scatterwound based on unwound Musicmaster pickups, Duo-sonic 56-60 years.
A similar wire of the 50s and 60s, AWG 42 1/2, was used to obtain pleasant midrange frequencies.
Thick alnico 5 magnets, as used in the 50s.
Single coil is made of black vulcanized fiber.
The bridge pickup is made hotter.
Pickups potted in a mixture of paraffin and beeswax.
The sound is fat, with pleasant midrange frequencies, great for Blues and rock music with a 0.1 uf capacitor. When using a 0.047 mf condenser, the pickups acquire an excellent sound for Surf and Rockabilly music, while maintaining a rich, wide sound that is not lost in the mix with other instruments.
